Yes, you can look younger without plastic surgery! In addition to injectable anti-aging treatments like Botox and dermal fillers, we also offer non-surgical skin tightening that can lift and tighten the skin virtually anywhere on the body. At Ultra Smooth Skin in Scottsdale and Chandler, AZ, we use Thermage. Thermage utilizes radiofrequency (RF) to tighten the skin on the face and neck, abdominals, arms, and more. While this is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment, it still requires a skilled provider in a reputable aesthetic medical treatment facility to get good results. It’s also important to educate yourself on the pros and cons of this procedure. What do you want to know about Thermage? Check out our Thermage FAQ below for more information.

Thermage FAQ

What do you want to know about Thermage non-surgical skin tightening? It’s important to have a one-on-one consult with an experienced provider to find out if Thermage is right for you; however, while you await that initial consultation, check out the Thermage FAQ below for more information about this popular skin tightening and anti-aging treatment.

Are Thermage results permanent?

Results from Thermage last for about two years, but this varies from patient to patient. Remember that this turns back the clock, but it does not stop the aging process. To maintain a youthful look, repeat treatments are recommended. You may also improve your results through other treatments, such as Botox and dermal fillers.

Does Thermage hurt?

You should not feel pain during your Thermage treatment. Under the care of an expert provider, most patients report Thermage as tolerable. We will work together to ensure you’re comfortable throughout your procedure.

Does Thermage work for cellulite?

Thermage isn’t generally considered to be a good solution for cellulite. If you’re looking for cellulite reduction, we also offer Z-Wave cellulite reduction.

Is Thermage FDA-approved?

Yes. Thermage is FDA-approved for cosmetic skin tightening.

Is Thermage safe?

Thermage is FDA-approved and considered safe for most patients in the hands of an experienced provider.

Is Thermage better than Ultherapy?

Thermage and Ultherapy are both skin tightening treatments that are FDA-cleared. However, they differ in many ways. First, Ultherapy is only cleared for use on the face, neck, and decolletage. Thermage can be used almost anywhere on the body. Thermage uses radiofrequency tightening while Ultherapy uses ultrasound. Finally, Thermage has been around longer than Ultherapy. With regard to which one is better, it boils down to the individual patient. However, we see Thermage work for most patients.

Is Thermage a laser treatment?

Thermage is not a laser skin treatment. Thermage uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to lift and tighten the skin. However, we do have laser skin treatments. Fraxel is one excellent laser skin treatment that we often use together with Thermage; it’s called Thermafrax and provides patients with excellent anti-aging results.
