Get Shine Free Skin!

If you have oily skin, chances are you also have a problem with shiny skin, and it probably seems impossible to obtain a shine free look. However, obtaining shine free skin is actually quite simple. When you incorporate the following tips into your daily skin care regime, you can effectively combat shiny skin in no time.

Always Use a Mild Cleanser

Make sure you wash your face gently with a mild cleanser two times each day. Additionally, it is best if you choose a product that contains all-natural ingredients.
Never make the mistake of trying new, “so-called” miracle products or harsh scrubs on your face. These products can actually make your problem worse.

Harsh treatments can be quite irritating to your skin, and irritated skin often simply produces even more oil. The best thing to do for shiny, oily skin is to cleanse your face in the morning and evening with a gentle, all-natural cleanser. Be sure to rinse your face thoroughly with luke warm water as well.

Use a Good Skin Toner

It is also a good idea to apply an astringent or skin toner after you cleanse your face. Skin toners help to tighten your pores, which will result in less oil production. They will also give a smooth appearance to your skin. If you have the time, it helps to apply the toner one more time during the day as well.

Use a Face Mask

Face masks can be extremely effective in eliminating shiny skin as well. You can choose to purchase a face mask at a salon, spa or even over the counter. Masks work because of their ability to absorb oil from your pores leaving your skin looking clean, fresh and shine free.

Exfoliate Once or Twice a Week

There are many benefits to exfoliation. Exfoliating once or twice a week will help to remove any dead skin cells, reduce oil production and shrink enlarged pores. However, excessive exfoliation can become harsh. As such, stick to once or twice a week and use a mild product with natural ingredients.

Use an Oil-Free Face Cream

Use an oil-free face cream only when necessary. Typically, moisturizers are not necessary for oily, shiny skin. However, there may be exceptions. If you have some dry areas on your face, you may need to apply a good moisturizing cream from time to time. When you add these helpful tips to your skin care routine, you are sure to get shine free skin in no time.
