Taking proper care of your face involves routine and regular cleansing, as cleaning your face is the way in which you remove dirt, impurities, excess oil, makeup and other pollutants which can be detrimental in skin health. Though you may think that you are cleaning your face properly, you can potentially be doing some damage if you are in fact cleaning your face in the wrong manner. The use of a washcloth may be helpful in cleansing the face as it helps with exfoliation, however, you need to make sure you use one that is soft and not harsh on the skin. In terms of cleaning the face, you need to work with only your three middle fingers and apply gentle pressure when moving the washcloth around your face. Placing too much pressure on your skin can cause damage and you need to clean your skin with only slight pressure. Gentle, circular movements are ideal for helping to truly get your face clean and refreshed.
