Get Fuller, Bigger Cheeks with Juvéderm Voluma® XC

Formulated to add immediately noticeable volume to your cheeks, Juvederm Voluma is produced by Allergan®, the makers of BOTOX® Cosmetic. While Juvederm Voluma is a lot like other types of facial fillers, it's specially formulated for cheeks and lasts longer. Voluma's quality and effectiveness are causing its popularity to grow in our cosmetic practices in Scottsdale and Chandler, AZ.
Juvederm Voluma: Look Younger for Longer
While wrinkles and lines are often the most noticeable signs of aging, other subtler aging signs also develop as the years pass. Cheeks start to flatten and skin sags. This happens because age causes your cheeks to lose the plumpness that makes you look young as the body reduces production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Juvederm Voluma restores this lost volume, and it lasts longer than many other products designed to provide similar results. In fact, Allergan reports that Juvederm Voluma in your cheeks can last as long as two years.

The Voluma Consultation
Upon arriving for your Voluma consultation, you'll meet with one of our expertly trained aesthetic injectors. They will assess your skin to offer you treatment guidance. You can also expect to discuss any concerns that you have and your desired results. We will look over your medical history and discuss the changes that you're likely to experience. Your provider will also develop a customized treatment plan for you. If we conclude that you are a good candidate for Juvederm Voluma, we will administer the treatment or schedule a time for you to return.
The Voluma Procedure
Injecting Voluma requires an expert touch, so be sure to visit a practice like Ultra Smooth Skin that has experience with this type of injectable. Our aesthetic injectors are trained in bone structure and facial harmony to make sure that the product gives your face a natural appearance. Juvederm Voluma is a hyaluronic acid, one that contains an anesthetic called lidocaine. After making the first injection, your aesthetic injection specialist will wait a few moments to let the lidocaine work before moving on to the next round. Small amounts of this facial filler are injected into the treatment area until the desired look is achieved.
Your provider may massage the treatment area following the injections to make sure that the filler is evenly distributed. After the treatment, they may apply ice to the area for a few moments to limit swelling and improve your comfort.
Juvederm Voluma Results and Follow-up Treatments
With a Juvederm Voluma treatment, you should see results immediately. However, you may need follow-up treatments to get the long-term results that you want. During the Voluma clinical trials, 82 percent of people received a follow-up injection about one month after the original treatment to give them the desired results.

How Does Voluma Work?
Voluma works because of the hyaluronic acid gel. Hyaluronic acid is a component that your body produces naturally. It sends nutrients to your skin to help it hold onto moisture and retain its softness. As we age, however, the body doesn't produce hyaluronic acid in abundance. Voluma and other HA fillers replace the hyaluronic acid to temporarily rejuvenate your facial features for several months and up to 2 years; Voluma lasts up to 2 years, longer than any other filler currently on the market.
Why Should I Choose Ultra Smooth Skin for My Voluma Treatment?
Lisa Williams is a Master Injector of Voluma, having completed the de Maio Master's Voluma Technique Course taught by Dr. Mauricio de Maio of Sao Paulo, Brazil, who is a renowned plastic surgeon and expert Voluma pioneer injector. Lisa was privileged to be included as one of a few nationwide facial filler injectors to be recently trained by Dr. de Maio, and was handpicked out of a few injectors nationwide, to participate in a master class on injections techniques focused on the VOLUMA® EIGHT POINT LIFT.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Voluma?
You're a good candidate for Voluma if you are over 21, want fuller cheeks, and are in good health. Voluma helps patients obtain the cheeks they've always wanted or restore lost facial volume. Whatever your goal, Voluma could be right for your needs.
Who Shouldn't Get Juvederm Voluma Treatments?
If you experience severe allergies or are allergic to any of the substances that are in Juvederm Voluma, you may want to avoid the product. If you are pregnant or nursing, you should not have Voluma treatments. Patients who are allergic to lidocaine cannot receive Juvederm Voluma. During your consultation, we'll be able to determine whether the treatment is right for you by giving you an examination and going over your medical history, current prescriptions and supplements.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Juvederm Voluma?
Juvederm Voluma XC is formulated with a thicker hyaluronic acid gel to add volume to your cheeks. It gently lifts and adds a natural contour to give you a younger appearance.
Where Will My Voluma Treatment Be Performed?
Because Juvederm Voluma injections are in-office procedures, you'll receive this type of treatment at one of our cosmetic practices in Scottsdale or Chandler, AZ.
What Pain Relief Options Are Available During a Voluma Treatment?
Juvederm Voluma contains lidocaine, an injectable, local anesthetic. After the first injection, the lidocaine in Voluma increases patient comfort. Your aesthetic injector can apply a topical anesthetic as well, if you so desire.
What Are the Potential Side Effects of Juvederm Voluma?
Juvederm Voluma received its official approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in January of 2013. With Juvederm Voluma injections, the possible side effects include tenderness, lumps, swelling and firmness at the injection site. Discoloration, bruising and itching are other possible side effects of facial filler injections.
How Much Does Juvederm Voluma Cost?
The cost of a Juvederm treatment depends on your location and the provider that's administering the injections. In our Phoenix- area practices, the cost varies according to the provider. Through our practices, specials are available. We also participate in Allergan's Brilliant Distinctions program, which is a rewards program that lets you earn points toward discounts on follow-ups or other treatments.
