Treat moderate to deep wrinkles with Juvéderm® Injectable Gel

Juvederm is a line of cosmetic products manufactured to treat the signs of aging. Made by Allergan®, the makers of Botox® Cosmetic, Juvederm's smooth consistency makes it a cosmetic treatment that is effective while also allowing you to keep your natural appearance. This particular product is one of our most highly requested facial filler treatments at our aesthetic practices in Scottsdale and Chandler, AZ.

Juvederm Ultra & Ultra Plus

When it comes to Juvederm products, the manufacturer has formulated them to treat different areas of the face as aging occurs. Juvederm Ultra XC adds subtle volume to the face, smooths the appearance of mild-to-moderate laugh lines (nasolabial folds and marionette lines), and increases the fullness of your lips. The product also plumps up lips that are starting to thin. Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is designed to increase facial volume and return a smoother, more youthful appearance to your face by diminishing moderate-to-severe wrinkles and folds.

What to Expect From a Juvederm Treatment at Ultra Smooth Skin

Ultra Smooth Skin has three convenient locations in Scottsdale and Chandler. At any of these facilities, you can have a Juvederm or other injectable treatment formulated to diminish the signs of aging. You'll receive personalized care at our facilities, and each treatment is performed by injectors who have a great deal of industry experience in a practice that has been recognized by the manufacturer as a top 1% provider of Botox and Juvederm.

The Juvederm Consultation

When you arrive at one of our three locations for a consultation, we will assess your skin condition, go over your medical history, and discuss your desired results. During your initial consultation, we will develop a customized treatment plan. If we determine that you are a good candidate for Juvederm, we'll take steps to begin the treatment or schedule a follow-up appointment for you to receive your first injections.

The Juvederm Procedure

Your aesthetic injector will ensure your total comfort during treatment. Topical numbing cream or ice may be used before and during treatment. The injections contain a small amount of lidocaine, a local anesthetic. Each injection is administered using a fine-gauge needle. Your aesthetic injector will insert the filler into the areas of the face or lips requiring treatment while molding and shaping the filler.

Juvederm Results and Follow-Up Treatments

Once the treatment is completed, your skin will have more volume. It will also likely display a smoother appearance. Most people require one treatment to obtain optimal wrinkle smoothing. Studies show that the results usually last for about a year before needing a follow-up treatment, though this varies depending on the patient and the area treated.

Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus FAQ

If you have questions about Juvederm or other injectables, it's best to ask them during your one-on-one consultation with us. By discussing your questions in person, we can ensure that you'll receive an accurate answer for your particular situation. If you're waiting for the day of your appointment, use the information presented below for general information about Juvederm treatments.

How Does Juvederm Work?

Juvederm is a synthetic version of hyaluronic acid and contains a small amount of lidocaine, which is a local anesthetic. The human body makes hyaluronic acid naturally to deliver nutrients to the skin and hydrate it. The substance is also a cushioning agent. Your body produces more of it in your youth than it does as you age. Juvederm helps replenish the hyaluronic acid that your body no longer produces, providing you with a more youthful appearance.

Why Should I Choose Ultra Smooth Skin for My Juvederm Treatment?

The director of Ultra Smooth Skin, Lisa Williams, is a certified aesthetic nurse practitioner (ANP-C). Since she is experienced in anti-aging treatments, she is able to give people the younger look they desire. She and Ultra Smooth Skin's staff of aesthetic injectors administer Juvederm and other facial fillers at our three locations in Scottsdale and Chandler, AZ. Ultra Smooth Skin is one of Allergan's Black Diamond providers, which means that we are one of the country's top providers of Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm fillers. Along with administering Juvederm and other injectables, Lisa has been entrusted by Allergan to train other medical providers to administer injectable treatments.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Juvederm?

A good candidate for Juvederm is someone who is interested in diminishing the look of age lines as well as those who want to enhance their lips. Candidates should be in good health and have sensible expectations regarding what facial fillers can do.

Who Shouldn't Get Juvederm Treatments?

Not every cosmetic treatment is for everyone, and while Juvederm is an aesthetic treatment, it's still a medical procedure. People who have a history of severe allergies are usually not good candidates for a filler treatment. This is also true if you are allergic to any ingredient in the filler, including lidocaine. In addition, if you're pregnant or nursing, you should wait until you're through with these life stages before seeking injectables. If one of our providers does not feel that you're a good candidate for Juvederm, they will recommend other treatments or products that may be a better fit.

What Areas Can Be Treated With Juvederm Ultra XC?

Juvederm Ultra has multiple indications for use, including mild-to-moderate wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth (called nasolabial folds and marionette lines). Juvederm Ultra XC is also useful for lip enhancement in some patients.

What Areas Can Be Treated With Juvederm Ultra Plus XC?

Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a facial filler designed to treat moderate and severe facial wrinkles and folds. Because it is a thicker formula, it is used to decrease the look of deep lines that develop from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) as well as the lines that may appear from the corners of your mouth to the jawline (marionette lines).

Where Will My Juvederm Treatment Be Performed?

Juvederm filler injections are in-office procedures, so you will receive treatment at one of our three locations in Scottsdale or Chandler, AZ.

What Pain Relief Options Are Available During a Juvederm Treatment?

A local or topical anesthetic can be applied to the skin before the injection is administered. In addition, Juvederm features lidocaine. This substance decreases discomfort.

What Are the Potential Side Effects of Juvederm?

You're unlikely to experience downtime following a Juvederm treatment. Along with this, common side effects are typically minimal. However, they may include temporary redness, swelling, bruising or tenderness at the injection site.

How Much Does Juvederm Cost?

The cost of Juvederm varies based on your location and where you receive the treatment. At our three locations, we participate in Allergan's Brilliant Distinctions program, which allows you to earn points for treatment discounts. We also offer specials on a monthly basis.

Where Can I See Juvederm Before and After Pictures?

To see real Juvederm results, visit their official website. You will be able to look at before-and-after pictures of those who sought the cosmetic treatment before you. We can also provide photos during your consultation.

1Individual results may vary. 2All manufacturer claims, in regards to the benefits, process, length/effectiveness of treatments, how soon you'll see results or heal, or claims of minimal side effects such as minor redness or mild discomfort or no downtime, are provided by the pharmaceautical manufacturers as part of their guidelines in promoting their product and are backed by case studies/peer-reviewed publications and are published on their individual websites. 3Testimonials are the opinions of real clients that wanted to provide them and express their opinion to others. When written, the only editing done was to fix minor grammatical/syntax errors and/or to truncate extended testimonials that, while nice, went a bit long. Video testimonials are unedited. 4Treatments and services that are time-related (such as fees per a "20 minute session") are rooted in the fact that most appointments (i.e. the historical average amount of time required to complete most areas we treat) take that amount of time; however, it may be recommended or advised or necessary that more than one session time is required to achieve whatever affect you're looking for (such as someone wanting to treat many areas of their body vs someone simply wanting to treat their hands). A quick consultation in our office will provide you the exact time required to treat whatever you wish since treatment areas have a direct impact on time required to treat such areas. 5Superlatives, when describing services/products, are manufacturer claims and, in the end, it's your opinion as to what service/product is right/effective/best for you. 6Internal comparison claims comparing one technology to another (such as stating that a new product is x% better than the previous model, similar to how a 2019 model vehicle has many advances/improvements over a 2010 vehicle), when comparisons are done within the same company's lineup, are the manufacturer's statement-of-fact and reflect the latest science and/or breakthrough that, when released as a product, is the best/most effective at the time within their own product lineup — they are not claims comparing their product against other manufacturers' products. 7Videos, which we have chosen to add links to on our website, are either local television coverage pieces or third-party videos that we feel are great for learning and gaining an overview of the process of several services we offer; but third-party videos (e.g. those in the public domain, such as YouTube) in no way should be construed as an endorsement of Ultra Smooth Skin and/or our services specifically. They are meant as an awareness tool to help you decide upon common treatments provided by Ultra Smooth Skin and medspa providers nationwide. Some videos are produced by the pharmceutical manufacturers and others are by service providers, while still others are television appearances by Lisa Williams, the owner of Ultra Smooth Skin. 8Time is accurate as certain procedures have a fixed-length time of treatment per area. 9At our locations. 10Data on file at manufacturer.
