Unique Facial Rejuvenation with Belotero Balance®

Like Juvederm® and Restylane®, Belotero Balance is a hyaluronic acid injectable filler that helps smooth and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, but proprietary technology makes it different from these popular injectables in important ways, allowing it to smooth out even the finest of fine lines. Learn about this unique filler and how it can help you achieve your goals for facial rejuvenation in our three convenient Phoenix-area medical spa locations.
Belotero Balance in Phoenix, AZ
Belotero Balance is a newer prescription injectable treatment that can greatly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles on your face. It is particularly effective on the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) and from the corners of the mouth to the chin (marionette lines). However, this filler has multiple benefits, including eye rejuvenation and the smoothing of fine lines after the moderate application of Botox® Cosmetic.
What to Expect With a Belotero Treatment at Ultra Smooth Skin
All of our locations offer Belotero Balance as well as other injectable treatments to take years off your appearance. Injection specialists at each of our offices provide high-quality, experienced care under the training and supervision of Certified Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Lisa Williams to ensure the best possible results.
The Belotero Consultation
Your Belotero Balance treatment starts with a consultation. One of our injectors will speak to you about what you expect from your treatment. You'll discuss your questions and goals and go over your medical history. If you're a good candidate for Belotero, we'll schedule your treatment right away or at a follow-up appointment.
The Belotero Procedure
Because Belotero is an injectable procedure, we recommend that you prepare ahead of time by avoiding alcohol and any medications that might thin your blood. This includes aspirin or NSAIDs such as ibuprofen. If you are using a prescription medication, be sure to consult with your doctor before suspending its use.
We use topical anesthesia or ice on the treatment area to ensure your comfort during the injections. Your provider will use very fine needles to place the Belotero exactly where it needs to be in order to smooth out the lines on your face. More ice is used to help reduce swelling and to ensure your continuing comfort. Afterward, you'll receive instructions for aftercare and follow-up appointments. It's important to follow these guidelines for the best possible results. You can return to your normal activities right away unless your provider makes a different recommendation.
Belotero Results and Follow-up Treatments
Although you can go back to work, school or other everyday activities with no downtime, you will probably experience minor swelling and redness in the area where the injections were administered. After this fades in a few days, you'll start to see the results of your treatment.
Results from Belotero can last as long as 12 months. Touch-up treatments help maintain your results and often require fewer injections than the original treatment.

How Does Belotero Work?
Using hyaluronic acid, Belotero works by lifting the tissues in deep lines and wrinkles, making them shallower and less noticeable. It's smoother, thinner formula allows it to act as a finishing touch to complement other treatments and correct fine lines as well as fill in moderate-to-severe wrinkles and folds.
Why Should I Choose Ultra Smooth Skin for Belotero Balance?
Ultra Smooth Skin specializes in non-invasive, high-quality cosmetic treatments like dermal fillers and laser treatments. Our Medical Aesthetics Director, Lisa Williams, has a master's degree in nursing and is a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner. She also has 14 years of experience in cosmetic dermatology. Her extensive experience, education and certifications make her and our team of aesthetic injectors the ideal practitioners to rejuvenate your look.

How Is Belotero Different From Other Fillers?
Belotero is different from fillers like Restylane and Juvederm because of its proprietary technology. While all these dermal fillers are forms of hyaluronic acid, the molecules that make them up are linked together differently. The links between the molecules determine how the filler behaves once it's been injected under your skin. In the case of Belotero, a unique technology called Cohesive Polydensified Matrix causes it to be more elastic than other fillers. This elasticity means that it will be more evenly distributed after injection, making the transitions between treated and untreated areas virtually seamless. By contrast, other fillers can clump together under your skin.
In addition, your doctor can inject Belotero closer to the surface of the skin, which means you'll see results with a smaller amount of filler. These superficial injections reduce the risk of lines or bumps forming in treated areas.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Belotero?
The best way to find out what Belotero Balance can do for you, and if you're a good candidate, is to schedule a consultation at one of our Phoenix-area locations. If you're concerned about deep lines and wrinkles on your face, you might be a good candidate for Belotero. You may also be a candidate if you need that "finishing touch" to complement other fillers or wrinkle relaxing injectables. Belotero is considered safe for most healthy patients aged 21 and over.
Who Shouldn't Get Belotero?
If you have a history of allergies, particularly if you've experienced an allergic reaction to other dermal fillers, Belotero might not be a good choice for you. If this is the case, we will make a recommendation for other cosmetic treatments that can address your concerns and give you the results you desire. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use Belotero or other injectables, as these have not been tested to determine safety. Some patients taking certain medications or supplements won't be able to safely receive Belotero. Our team takes patient safety very seriously and will go over your medical history to ensure you can safely receive Belotero Balance treatments.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Belotero?
Belotero is FDA-approved to treat folds around the mouth and nose, especially nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Smaller amounts may be used in fine lines and around the eyes for eye rejuvenation or to add that finishing touch after a Botox treatment.
Where Will My Belotero Treatment Be Performed?
Your treatment will be performed in one of our three Phoenix-area practice locations in Scottsdale and Chandler, AZ.
Is Belotero Painful? Is Anesthesia Available?
Because Belotero is administered with very thin needles, the treatment is very comfortable. We supply topical anesthetic and ice to help you remain comfortable and to reduce swelling during and after treatment.
What Are the Potential Belotero Side Effects?
Side effects of Belotero Balance are usually mild and disappear within a week or so. You might expect to experience minor swelling, bruising, and tenderness in the area. Most serious side-effects can be avoided by seeing a qualified aesthetic injector with a proven track record of experience and results.
How Much Does Belotero Cost?
The cost of Belotero treatment at Ultra Smooth Skin depends on the number of injections as well as the individual provider. During your Belotero consultation, you'll talk to a specialist about the full cost of treatment.
We offer regular monthly specials, so be sure to check for any discounts we might offer.
