How it's done
Phosphatidylcholine (PCDC), more commonly known as lecithin, is injected into areas where fat has accumulated, such as the buttocks, middle section, and thighs. The PCDC inflames the cells, which then harden and then begin the process of dissolving. Within a few weeks the fat cells are eliminated from the body.
Results are excellent if the treatment is by a practitioner who has been trained in the proper protocols, techniques and medications. A recent UCLA study shows that sodium deoxycholate destroys — the process is formally known as "necrosis" — the fat cell. It is a Lecithin based product that is natural and safe to use.
Treatments are generally performed once per month.
The number of treatments depends on the patient being treated and their goals. Depending on the individual and the area treated, only a couple of treatments may be needed to achieve the patient's desired result.
